Bireta translated the ToR for the Construction of the Ostrołęka C Power Plant

The Employer has just announced five entities that will be invited to a competitive dialogue for the Construction of Ostrołęka C Power Plant with power of approx. 1000 MW – at present, the most important Power Sector project in Poland.
As part of this procedure, BIRETA translated the technical part of the Description of Needs and Requirements of the Employer. As part of the project, we translated over 1000 pages of documentation.

The notice for construction of the new Power Unit was published by Elektrownia Ostrołęka SA in December last year. At the end of March this year, a preliminary list of contractors was announced. Finally, the following five entities were invited to the competitive dialogue:

  1. China Power Engineering Consulting Group
  2. Consortium of: Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction, Mostostal Warszawa, Acciona Industrial
  3. Consortium of: GE Power, Alstom Power Systems S.A.S.
  4. Consortium of: Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe GmbH, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Ltd.
  5. Consortium of: Polimex-Mostostal, Rafako.

The investment project provides for the construction of a complete Power Plant with one condensing power unit with gross power output of approx. 1000 MW, net efficiency of at least 45%, operating on supercritical parameters of steam. The project is expected to be completed in 54 months.
