On the International Translation Day, BIRETA Professional Translations wishes all translators and translation industry employees much joy and success!
This year we celebrated Translation Day a bit earlier, on the 29th of September, during the Translation Conference, the most important annual event of the translation industry in Poland. Just like last year, Bireta was the main sponsor of this event.
The motto of the 2018 edition of the conference was “RuszA.I.my w przyszłość!” (Let’s move into the future!). Areta Kempińska, co-owner of our company, gave a presentation on machine translations entitled “Switching to the dark side. A boat called machine translations is leaving. Who will get in it and who will be left behind? During her speech she talked about the fears of translators related to MT (Machine Translation), the biggest challenges and difficulties faced by translators in working with machine translation, as well as the latest technologies and neural machine translations based.
During the conference, we also had the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences with specialists in the translation industry, as well as students and alumni at the beginning of their career. Thank you all for visiting our conference stand. See you next year!
